Creative - Holistic Transformation
I am a body-centered psychotherapist, which means I hold the belief that the body can be a valuable resource for understanding and resolving psychological issues. One of the key principles of body-centered psychotherapy is the belief that the mind and body are interconnected. Enhanced self-awareness is a key benefit of body-centered psychotherapy. By bringing attention to bodily sensations and movement clients can gain deeper insight into their emotional and psychological states. This increased self-awareness allows for a more comprehensive exploration of thoughts, feelings, and needs and leads to a greater understanding and acceptance of oneself. Importantly, the integration of body-centered techniques and talk therapy ensures that treatment is tailored to the individual's specific needs, preferences, and readiness. This person-centered approach recognizes that each client is unique and requires a therapeutic plan that aligns with their goals and comfort level.
My practice focus revolves around the treatment of depression, anxiety, self-worth, stress management, relationship/nterpersonal difficulties, grief/loss, trauma and disturbances related to body image and eating disorders.
Through my training in Clinical Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapies, with a particular focus on movement and the body, I underwent a transformative experience. It allowed me to truly understand the significance of non-judgment, safety, containment, and trust. With deep gratitude, I am excited to accompany you on your journey towards achieving your desired goals in this same spirit.
